The science behind PROstretch is based upon the interaction the central nervous system has on muscles and joints. Most muscle tightness is created by learned movement habits, such as, sitting at a desk, driving a car, looking down at your phone or computer and the list goes on. Overtime these learned movement habits create joint and muscle stiffness, range of motion is slowly lost and before we know it we are experiencing aches and pains throughout our day. The good news is that all of can be improved! Using assisted stretching techniques we are able to work with the central nervous system to decrease muscle tone, elongate tissues, and break up any restrictions that may have formed.
