Dance Medicine

The physical demands placed on a dancer’s body are unlike those of any other sport. Dancer’s endure repetitive stress to their joints, muscles, and nervous system, and therefore require a unique approach to treatment. Typically, the ankles, feet, hips and knees are most affected, but the upper body including the neck and shoulders can often be injured due to repetitive stress and hypermobility related to dance and the movement requirements.
